Rare AU-1-like G3P[9] human rotaviruses with a Kun-like NSP4 gene detected in children with diarrhea in Italy.

چکیده
Three G3P[9] rotaviruses, detected in children hospitalized with gastroenteritis in Palermo, Italy, were found to be genetically related to strains of either human or feline origin in the VP7, VP4, and VP6 genes. In contrast, in the NSP4 gene the viruses resembled G2P[4] human strains, suggesting a reassortment between AU-1-like and Kun-like strains.

Correction: Whole-Genome Analysis of a Rare Human Korean G3P[9] Rotavirus Strain Suggests a Complex Evolutionary Origin Potentially Involving Reassortment Events between Feline and Bovine Rotaviruses
A rare human rotavirus, G3P[9] strain RVA/Human-tc/KOR/CAU12-2-51/2013/G3P[9], was isolated from the stool of a 9-year-old female hospitalized with acute watery diarrhea in August 2012 in South Korea using a cell culture system, and its genome was analyzed. The complete genomic constellation of the CAU12-2-51 strain revealed a novel genotype constellation for human rotavirus, G3-P[9]-I2-R2-C2-M...
متن کاملMolecular characterization of G11P[25] and G3P[3] human rotavirus strains associated with asymptomatic infection in South India.
Rotaviruses are the major etiological agents of diarrhea in children less than 5 years of age. Two unusual rotavirus strains not previously reported in India, G11P[25] (CRI 10795) and G3P[3] (CRI 33594) were isolated from faecal samples of asymptomatic children in India. The strains were characterized by sequence analysis of the genes encoding the VP7, VP4, VP6, and NSP4. The G11P[25] strain wa...
متن کاملDetection and Molecular Characterization of Avian Rotaviruses in Broiler Farms in Guilan
Background: Avian rotaviruses are one of the important agents of enteritis in birds and have a worldwide distribution. These viruses have an important role in runting and stunting syndrome in chickens. Objectives: The aim of this study was detection and molecular characterization of avian rotaviruses in broiler farms in Guilan province. Methods: In this study, 100 samples were collected on diff...
متن کاملبیان و خنثیسازی گلیکوپروتئین نوترکیب روتا ویروس میمونی((NSP4 با آنتیبادی اختصاصی در نوزاد موش
Background and Objectives: Rotaviruses are the most important cause of severe diarrhea in infants and young children in both developed and developing countries. Rotaviruses are members of the reoviridae family and contain 11 double- stranded RNA segments. Segment 10 encodes nonstructural glycoprotein NSP4, that can induce diarrhea in newborn mice. It has been suggested that NSP4 may be a key de...
متن کاملMolecular analysis of the VP7, VP4, VP6, NSP4, and NSP5/6 genes of a buffalo rotavirus strain: identification of the rare P[3] rhesus rotavirus-like VP4 gene allele.
We report the detection and molecular characterization of a rotavirus strain, 10733, isolated from the feces of a buffalo calf affected with diarrhea in Italy. Strain 10733 was classified as a P[3] rotavirus, as the VP8* trypsin cleavage product of the VP4 protein revealed a high amino acid identity (96.2%) with that of rhesus rotavirus strain RRV (P5B[3]), used as the recipient virus in the hu...
